7:25. DO WHATEVER YOU CAN DO. Get the word out. Media blackout. All kinds of shit is happening. The Riot Cops are coming in. It's not as benign as they make it sound on the radio. They're pepper spraying and beating up everybody.
JUST MY PREDICTION
7:05 pm. According to my crystal ball, this is what's going to happen. The Caledonians, who are mostly not Caledonians, and their ringleader definitely is not, will continue to riot at the end of Argyle street near the Six nations barricade. More and more will come from Hamilton and other towns and cities around and maybe from even further away, like Ottawa. The ringleader and his shorthaired sidekicks are probably bankrolled by Indian Affairs or CSIS or RCMP or dirty tricks squad. As more and more non-natives arrive, the ringleaders will rev them up with some carefully scripted racial slurs and slogans that will rouse them up, "Let's go kill the Indians". Then fights will break out amongst them. Because some do not really want to kill the Indians. Then the instigators will start fights going between them. More cops will come in. Then the ringleader will turn the crowd against the cops for not letting them get by to get at the Indians. Then rocks and bricks will start flying at the cops. Then more cops will come in and more bricks will fly hurting maybe a dozen cops. That's when the people demand that the army come in and restore order.
How do I know this? Chateauguay 1990!
Several contacts informed us that most of the rioters are not Caledonians. They are outsiders. They're there on "business".
PLAN II - IS THE ARMY IS GOING TO ARRIVE?
4:10 pm. Why would the police be instigating rioters? Because Canada wants to bring in the army. The army has been sitting in the wings for months now. They are in the middle of a recruiting campaign. They're trying to make it look like they have a valuable role to play, keeping the peace in Canada. We all know that the Six Nation-Caledonia peace was broken in the first place by sending in the armed forces. Instead of doing the honorable thing, putting their documents on the table, sitting down and talking like adults, the Canadian authorities came on with a show of force. They mislead people in Caledonia and made them feel insecure. They conducted a campaign designed to make it look like everything was the fault of the Indians. Though it is now a month since the aborted raid on Six Nations, they still haven't admitted publicly that the Six Nations people occupying the construction site are occupying our own land.
They're following the old colonial plan. Britain has always made high minded statements about how their Indians are under their benevolent protection. Meanwhile they let their abused lower classes steal from us. They subsidize their trips over here to make it easier for them to do this. They kept them in miserable living conditions at home to make them want to leave. This is the same old, same old. Canada inherited the British system and Canada too made an underclass. Then it incited this underclass to attack the "Indians". This will throw up a smokescreen and they are going to try to make us look satisfied when peace is restored instead of restoring the land they stolen.
It is really disappointing to see this kind of subversive tactic in the 21st century. Violence could so easily have been averted with a few upstanding statements by Canadian political leaders.
This time one thing is different. They haven't been able to keep their secret from the Canadian public and the world. They are at least beginning to know what's going on. People won't stand for it.
Canada, it's not too late to turn things around. The trip of even only 1000 miles starts with the first step. A few days ago it looked as if Canada had seen the road and was ready to start down a new direction. It's still not too late to try.
Canadians, please ask your government to call off its undercover riot instigators with their skinheads and get back to the table to talk.

At least 3 bridges are blocked out west. All support is important. Near and far. Isn't there any kind of way to resolve this peacefully? Do dealings with Canada always have to degenerate into mob rule? Why do they let these mobs do this to us?

ARE CHATEAUGUAY AND LASALLE ATTACKS ON MOHAWKS IN 1990 BEING SET UP BY SOMEONE?
3:20 pm. Update: It is escalating. There are many police there. One of the chiefs went out to offer cedar and put down his cane and tried to bring peace. He got hit in the head. They were given until 2:30 BY THE opp to move from the barricades. They refused. That's when the road was dug up.
The Indians are behaving peacefully. They want to stop the trespasser from coming over and hurting them. The're threatening to kill the Indians.
UPDATE. Rioting broke out today after the Six Nations opened Argyle Road. Caledonians rushed them. Smashed cards. Attacked people. In order to protect themselves, the Six Nations got a payloader and startedto dig up the road. The OPP asked them to stop so they could clear the trespassing Caledonian rioters.
Six Nations decided to give them a chance and held off on the trench they digging across the road. The Caledonians rushed them. The police started pepper spraying guess who? Not the trespassing rioters, but the Indians. This was more than a violation of their word. So the Six Nations resumed digging the trench.
We're giving you these details because the medial will automatically presume that we are at fault. The CBC is still saying that we have a "purported" land claim as if it hasn't had time since February 28 to do some research for itself that our claims are all set out in formal document backed by archival evidence.
The Caledonians rushed the barricades. The cops actually pepper sprayed the Indigenous people. Several Caledonians were hurt in fights between themselves. Shades of Chateuguay. Rioting went on night after night until the army came it. That's what appears to be instigated here. More cops coming from Orillia.
How much do you want to bet that only one or two token charges will be laid against the Caledonian trespassers.

Canada doesn't really want this land issue settled. They're trying to find a way to get police in there to use force to put an end to this problem Canada has.
People in the communities. Get on your local media and get this up to the minute news. Not 5 days from now. By then everybody might be dead. We don't want blood shed.
Punched one of chiefs in the head. It was all orchestrated. We can tell. These white people can be controlled. OPP have training in this. They can foresee this and stop it.

Are the cops dressed in civilian clothes organizing the protesters? This happened in 1990 at LaSalle when our people were taking disabled elderly grandparents and very young children out of Kahnawake which was about to be raided by the Canadian army. The cars were all trapped on the Mercier Bridge for hours in the hot sizzling sun. The trip should have taken no more than 5 minutes. There was no way out except off the bridge and through Whiskey Trench - a long cement walked corridor leading under a bridge. At the end of the bridge, the rioters gathered with piles of rocks. The cops let our cars through. The cops stood by and the rioters stoned them.
It is tense. We were optimistic and took down one barricade this morning around 6:00 am this morning. Argyle leads directly into Caledonia. The attacks certainly don't make engender trust of the Canadian authorities. Our older people did not want to remove the barricades. But the consensus of the people was to open the road. This morning Caledonians drove up Argyle and smashed some of our cars. Hundreds of Indigenous people and our supporters are here right now. We are trying to protect our people from the hooligans of Caledonia. The Six Nations blocked it off with a radio tower. Now David Peterson is talking on the CBC that "They set the talks back". It's the opposite. He is sad about the situation right now. What is Peterson promising the Caledonians. Is it opposite to what he's telling the Six Nations people that the land is to be returned? Now nobody can use the road. The Caledonians have been throwing rocks at the Six Nations people, shouting racial slurs.

1:00 Monday. May 22, 2006. Day 83 of the land reclamation at Six Nations has gone sour. In a gesture of goodwill, Six Nations people took down the barricade on Argyle Street in front of the barricade at 6:00 am this morning. Yesterday the Caledonians blocked the road for 6 buses of supporters from Toronto. They also blocked ambulances from going to the hospital. "If white people can't use that road, than neither can Indian". One man died alone because they did not let him family go to his bedside. A car with a reporter and some women from Six Nations paper was surrounded by Caledonian men and women. They smashed the windows. The Ontario Provincial Police stood around shoulder to shoulder without moving, just watching, allowing the hooliganism to go on. "We are looking after it," they told the Six Nations people. When Six Nations people went to help the people who were being attacked, they were surrounded by more Caledonians, who shoved and hit them and accused the Indigenous people of instigating the violence. When a woman was hit, the Six Nations men jumped in and about three or four big fights broke out. The OPP continued to allow these Caledonian hoodlums to keep up their attack.
The Six Nations have put up the barricade again.
There is a large police presence. But just standing there. They are not stopping the Caledonia people from coming in. "Every time we try to soften things up and deal with people on the expectation they will behave in a civilized way, we get attacked". You can't trust them. Be prepared
While you're doing it. "They speak with forked tongue".
This is public misbehavior which is a direct result of the way the issues are handled by the Canadian government and the Canadian press. They do not present the legitimate basis of the Six Nations people's complaints. They make it look like we are the law breakers. They are wrong in letting the public not know of our legitimate claims. It's time for canada's terrorist act against indigenous people to stop. The blame for this lies squarely on the shoulders of the public officials in the way they are handling and presenting this whole issue.
EVERYBODY DO SOMETHING.
Try the Prime Minister, the police, the UN, anyone you can think of who may take responsibility for law and order in Ontario.

OPP INVADES SIX NATIONS

At 5:55 am this morning, Thursday, April 20th, over 150 heavily armed Ontario Provincial Police with Native mercenaries as body shields, invaded Six Nations land. Some carrying M-16's, in riot gear. 6th line is still open. The Rotinoshon'no are not fighting. Tear gas has been thrownat them. Some were pepper sprayed. The traitors are the same kind of people who stabbed Crazy Horse, Geronimo, and those who fought for our sovereignty and our lives.
One bridge to the property has been closed.
Witnesses required. This will not be on the national news. Go there and see what is going on. This is a scary precedent. Take pictures. Make reports. Let the world know. report. REPORT. REPORT. Help the people so no one gets hurt. we never wanted violence. Canada has opened to the door to covert stAte violence on a scale that is unprecedent in Canada. This si the end of any pretense of negotiation with Indigenous people. Canada came in with armaments, guns, paddy wagons (we dont know what's in there).
Don't let Canada become another Chile. Tell the world.

Canada hasn’t learned its lesson. It wants another Oka summer! 200 RCMP are going to back up the Ontario Provincial Police OPP. Instead of figuring out to negotiate a solution and maybe give back something they stole, they decided to use force again. This is a one trick pony. They are presently waiting at the Hamilton airport where they have choppers and “swat whipping gear” to whip “dem stubborn Injuns” into shape. They have all the toys, gadgets and guns. The whole 9 whistles! If they leave them behind, we can dress them up with feathers and warrior badges, eh!
Misinformation continues.
It is Canada and Ontario who are violating the jurisdiction of the Indigenous people. According to their own constitution, we have to validly give up our lands and sovereignty under Section 132 of the BNA Act. We never did this. This is not a domestic issue, as they say. It is an international issue. We began our r elationship with Britain as allies. When the British split themselves up into Canada, United States and Britain, we never agreed to join any of them. We’ve never agreed to be anything but allies. Under international law one state cannot absorb another without the fully informed consent of the majority of the population. Canada agrees with this formula. In the Quebec Succession Reference, it said that a province could not leave without the consent of a clear majority on a clear question. Canada and Ontario don’t want to play fair. They still want to be colonizers. That’s why they think they can run around like a bunch of big bullies, instead of learning of history and stealing what isn’t theirs.
According to the Kaianereh’ko:wa, the Women are the title holders of the land. We hold it in trust for our future generations. It belongs to our future generation. None of the so-called treaties that Canada claims to rely on are valid. None were signed with the authority of the people. Of course, none were signed by the future generations because they weren’t born yet.
It’s not like the settlers will have no place to live.
They recognize the rights that they agreed to respect. In 1784 General Haldimand made a proclamation on behalf of the British. He promised that Britain would protect the Six Nations right to occupy our land for six miles on either side of the Grand River from its mouth to its source. The public needs to be know that it is Canada and Ontario who refuse to come to the table and deal with laws and documents that back us up. Canadian leaders are announcing they wish they knew how to solve this problem. There is no problem. They just have to stay off our land, take their police away, stop trying to invade and stop giving fraudulent titles to squatters. It’s all in their archives. Canadians just have to look it up.
MEDIA BLACK OUT IS OVER FOR NOW. SIX NATIONS STAND UP TO TOTALARIANISM. WHAT’S NEXT?
MNN. April 20, 2006. 1:45 PM. Thursday. The Rotin’oshon’ni Six Nations, with our brothers, sisters, friends and allies, took a stand against totalitarian might. We could not give into it. It would have had a ripple effect through all of society. We stood up for law and order on behalf of everybody. It’s not over. We repelled the police. Our supporters came and stood with us. We now wait.
Right now 50 Quebec Police SQ are standing with binoculars at the end of Mercier Bridge staring across the St. Lawrence River at us here in Kahnawake. An elderly supporter took out her warrior flag and hung it out on her balcony in a high rise in Toronto. Canadians are angry. They feel like they’ve been lied to. Vital information has been kept from them.
The media black out is over. Our protest is on the front page. But what does all this mean? Why was it blacked out to begin with? What good is freedom of the press if the press is in the pockets of whoever controls the government? The Ontario Provincial Police OPP had a press conference at 1:00 today. They’re carrying out a court order, the legality of which we question. The Ontario government doesn’t want to take the blame. The Canadian government's Indian Affairs Department doesn’t want to take the responsibility. [Why should they? They’re the ones responsible for most of the frauds suffered by the Six Nations in the first place]. They both say. “It’s a police matter”.
16 protesters were removed from the Caledonia building site using violence and threats. OPP said they were merely trying to serve a court order taken out by Henco Industries, an American Corporation. No one has explained how and why the courts and the police became puppets of American businesses. No one is taking responsibility for the attack on the Six Nations people. Does this mean that this is a police state? Who rules the police anyway? Are the cops in charge? They seem to be able to do what they want. Who’s next? Welcome to the new world order!
The Ipperwash Inquiry doesn’t seem to have had any effect on the agenda of the OPP. They are now dictating to the government, attorneys general, crown attorneys and politicians. Everyone is afraid of the power of the police, except the Indians. The politicians have made laws giving so much power to the police that they have created a monster that is taking over. They cannot put the genie back into the bottle that they opened.
But the resistance at Six Nations is not what the police expected. To begin with, none of the people were carrying weapons, other than cameras. The news blackout was broken because the story got too big for Canada to control. They could not stop people from expressing themselves, at least not without killing us all off. We must have our say, no matter how hard whoever controls the government tries to shut us up. We see that the public is angry because the media never told them what was going on. Suddenly the issue that has been going on for 52 days is thrown in their faces.
Say the OPP, “This is no Ipperwash [when they attacked Indigenous protesters in 1995 and killed Dudley George]. We are not taking orders from politicians” [Does this mean they’re become a law onto themselves]. The OPP, they tell us, only enforces the law. Monte Quinter, an Ontario politician, said that the whole question of Six Nations lands has been before the Ontario legislature. “We’ve got to negotiate with the people”, said the NDP Indian Affairs critic. Most said they wanted a peaceful resolution. The facts have to go before the people. Why is it that the Canadian media never carries any information to inform the public about Indigenous land claims? This is why Canadians are surprised by what happened at Ipperwash, Oka and now at Six Nations. It seems that the Conservative party in opposition are still pushing their agenda. They would like to see the Liberals, who are in power, send the police in to continue the Mike Harris policy of using brute force on anyone who opposes his government. They want the Liberals to make the same mistake that they made at Ipperwash. This lead to a big inquiry and a huge black eye for the Conservatives.
If Canada had gotten away with the media black out, the outcome would been a lot worse. Because Indigenous news outlets sent messages worldwide, Canada could not hide their dirty underwear anymore. We have to thank our brothers and sisters all over the world who inundated Canadian officials with questions. Our people could have been killed and no one would have known about it. It’s strange too that Henco is an American company and the New York Times recently put a story on its front page demonizing the Mohawks. Is this all part of the plan?
Once the news got out, the police had to back off. The Indians had cameras everywhere. The OPP did not want to be on television beating up the Indians. A few Indians were arrested. Then they were replaced by more people. Ontario and Canada are not sure what to do now. This indicates to us that the Canadian demagogues had a plan to see how far they could get by using force and hiding it. If they could have gotten get away with it, they could do it elsewhere. If they could control us, they could do it on anyone, native or non-native. We were at the point of tipping down the horrible slope that the people of Chile and Argentina know so well.
Canada has to sit down with the real owners of the land and not anyone else.
Also, Canada can only negotiate after peace has been established. Canada may think this unfortunate. They have to get used to the idea they can’t grab everything. They have to show the world there is going to be no more violence and threats. Only then can we come forward without fear of being arrested.
We know what was done to our chiefs in the past. In the 1600’s our ancestors were invited to parlay with the government and were attacked, killed or imprisoned. We never saw them again. We still have this mistrust for a very good reason. We want open and transparent assurances. We want international observers. The people are the leaders. The chiefs are merely spokesmen for the people and have no power but to carry out the will of the people. The government and police don’t understand true democracy. Our people will not fall for their old colonial tricks. We will not let any of our people be set up, put on ships and die in Europe.
All over the world despotic leaders are attacking people, putting them in jails, concentration camps, separating them from loved ones, without lawyers or habeas corpus. It’s been creeping closer and closer. Look at Quantanamo. Look at security certificates that can be issued in Canada without letting the accused victim or their lawyer know what the evidence against them is. It has become impossible to put proof forward even cases of mistaken identity.
We want to show what we have to do when the powerful try to take control of the masses. We have been through this many times in the past. We know who we are dealing with. We can’t be fooled into falling for their trap.
The media blackout was a total violation of freedom of speech which is right in the constitution of Canada. The Six Nations had our backs against the wall. We did the only thing we could do in a nonviolent way. We are doing this for all oppressed people everywhere in the world. We want them to see someone standing up to the power of mass control of the human race. We ask all people to stand with us in solidarity. We are doing it for all of us.
We want to help stop the enslavement of everyone who use totalitarian means of brute force. The only protection we have is for the media to tell everybody what is happening. Mediayou’re your job. Don’t black us out. Don’t let the controllers of the government shut you down. Become involved with us.

Dear Sirs:
According to Wampum 44 of our constitution, the Kaianereh'ko:wa/Great
Law, the women are the title holders of our land. Title to our land is
vested in the people through the women. We sent Canadian Hydro
Developers Inc. a notice on February 6, 2006, objecting to your
violation of our constitutional jurisdiction on our land known as the
"Haldimand Tract". Your company built 50 windmills on our land to
create energy for the non-native market. Your incursion is also a
violation of international law.
Canadian Hydro Developers never consulted us nor asked us, the title
holders, for our consent to enter our land and develop your wind mill
project on Kanion'ke:haka territory. You were put on notice in November
2005 to discuss this project with the land owners even before you
started construction. It is not only unsurrendered land, but according
to our constitution it cannot be sold.
The windmills on our land are now attached to the soil. According to
law they become part of the land. They cannot be removed. As the
owners of the land we are now the owners of the windmills.
We would be glad to meet with you to discuss the full transfer of the
project over to us since we now own it. We wish to explain the
interests of the Six Nations people on the Indigenous territory in
question so that you will fully understand our position. Also, we would
like to inform you on the protocols and procedures required to deal with
us on a nation-to-nation basis in the future.

We're still here at Kanenhstaton [the Six Nations reclamation site near Caledonia]. A lot has happened since the barricades came down. Most of it is internal. It has kept us busy! We are still maintaining our position on our land. In spite of the anti-Six Nations propaganda by the colonists, we're not re-routing Caledonia's water, we haven't built bunkers or stored ammunition, we're not toting guns or terrorizing the citizens of Caledonia. These made up stories are distressing [and sometimes we laugh about them]. Throughout we have remained peaceful, even in the face of racist acts and hate crimes committed against us. We continue to act in good faith, even when the politicians threw only ultimatums at us. We are waiting for nation-to-nation dialogue. We will carry the spirit of truth and justice for Creation, as well as upholding our responsibilities to our Law, our Land and our People. Judge David [Who-has-land-on-the-Haldimand-Tract) Marshall is still asking why his illegal orders to remove our people are not being carried out.
Today, Premier McGuinty suggested that the province has agreed in principal to purchase "our" land from "Henco" [who got their false title from the province of Ontario]. He wants to hold the land "in trust" [nobody should trust him to hold anything]. Then he wants us all to go home now [Where? We are at home!] Someone should remind Mr. McGuinty about Kanehsatake [another Mohawk community near Montreal that Corporate Canada is always trying to tar and feather]. McGuinty seems to be following the blueprint used after the 1990 Mohawk Oka Crisis. That was another case where we were told that the land would be returned or held in trust. The situation has still not been resolved. In keeping with established colonial North American practice, they never followed through on any of their promises. Are we supposed to believe they ever meant to?
Our position has never changed. We the Title Holders as recalled by Wampum 44 of our constitution, the Kaianereh'ko:wa, retain jurisdiction over our land. As set out in the Haldimand Proclamation, the British promised to respect this. Canada's would-be colonizers pretend that land held in trust is "Crown" land. This is an old hoax which is enforced at gunpoint. The British Crown has no legal jurisdiction over our land or over us. We were here first. We never agreed to join Canada. So what are you colonists doing here?
As the Ontario Parliament nears its summer recess, the Opposition Party is pushing hard to do something about the Caledonia situation. They should be reminding the government of it's Inherent responsibilities commemorated by the Two Row Wampum and the Silver Covenant Chain agreements with us. They should also read their own Constitution. Instead, they're demanding the unlawful removal of us from our homelands.
They say the Caledonia citizens are living in fear, can't sleep at night and can't even barbeque in their backyards! [Since all the rowdy behavior is has been created by non-native outsiders, we have to wonder what would they do if we actually did say "boo" to them. Would they all just crumble into dust?] All politicians should use common sense before shooting their mouths off about something that they haven't bothered to read up on. They grand stand by passing on malicious gossip! Especially the one who represents Caledonia. According to Canadian mythology he also represents Six Nations. Those politicians need to stand around in some of those people's backyards, bring their steaks and barbeque them. They'll notice how quiet we are and that we are not bothering anyone. The children are not afraid to play in their school yard. They laugh, play and wave to us on the site. When the frisbee comes flying across the fence onto our site, we don't hold it hostage. We give it back!
The politicians should have stood with us Friday night when the lawless Caledonians held their racist rally [carrying their commercially produced signs saying, "Bring in the army". We still haven't found out who supplies the signs.] They were boozing publicly, many were drunk out of their skulls, throwing their empties at us (thanks, by the way, for the 10 cents a bottle. It's the only financing we get to counter the millions of dollar in subsidies the Caledonians are getting. This is the only help we're getting except for the donations we receive from our supporters, who, without exception, are well-educated people who want law and order), flinging stones at us, shouting vile racist remarks about our alleged "welfare cheques", yelling "the only good Indian is a dead Indian" [which is a colonial policy slogan], and threatening to go home and get their shot guns.
Who reported to the OPP about the "incidents of continuous gun fire" and "burning of fences" that we were supposed have done? As one reporter found out, there were no such incidents. Or the politicians could talk to the principal of the school, as that reporter did. They would have learned that the children are not afraid of us. They don't hide under their desks or tables to eat their lunch. The only gun fire sounds were the fire crackers the Caledonians shot off around the May 24 weekend and those fireworks they shot directly at us on the night we took down the first barricade.
Has someone sent a copy of the minutes of the Caledonia Citizens Alliance CCA group meeting to Parliament? They discussed arming themselves and that the OPP gave them the nod of approval. The OPP says this is utter nonsense. The CCA planned to use their children as "a cover" at their next rally. Their strategy was to "create chaos, continually dial 911 and rush toward the fence, but do not cross the police line".
They call us, who are their victims, the "lawless militant faction"! Did anyone ever wonder why the TV footage of those violent "stand-offs" always show the OPP facing the Caledonians, not us, the Onkwehonweh? Isn't it obvious the cops know that we aren't going to stab people in the back? The violence is coming from 'their' side at us.
The colonists continuously provoke to disrupt the Peace. Government and police public relations constantly pegs us as "terrorists". The rioters are rewarded by the state for their unlawful behavior. They are the real state-sponsored terrorists. Canada is handing out millions of dollars to Caledonia for their real and imagined business losses due, they say, "to the barricades". Settlers, check the stats! How many Six Nations people are no longer doing business in Caledonia because of your racist attitudes? These have grown deeper and more open in the last 100 days. Don't you realize that it isn't the barricades that have decreased your sales? It's your antagonistic attitude toward and attacks on our people - your customers.
The Caledonians turned their hatred on our children and barricaded them out of the arena. Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot! We pay rent for that facility! You created your own dreadful situation. Now you want compensation for it! And you're getting it, which is the worse part of it! The government obliges [probably because they orchestrated it in the first place]. They think it's better value to keep pouring money into racial warfare to try to defeat the Six Nations [and continue the land theft] than it is to actually uphold the honor of the Crown and pay their debt to the Six Nations. As long as the state keeps paying to instigate these attacks on us, they think they won't have to deal with the real issue - the promises they made to us that there would never be any encroachment on our land ever and that our sovereignty would always be respected! That's the solemn deal that was made between two allies, the Six Nations and Britain. Another fellow said, "It's like dealing with a 'bad little kid'." Bad behavior should not be rewarded by giving them candy. When that's all gone, they're going to want more and their behavior gets worse!
With respect to the 7 Indigenous people charged, two have been arrested and released. The Confederacy Council is still conducting our investigation with respect to the alleged "illegal activities". These individuals are still required to stay off of the site. Why are our people being tried twice for these so-called crime? They are being held accountable to our traditional government, as required by our Law, the Kaierenekowah, and being forced to go through the colonial justice system. We've established it clearly has no jurisdiction over our people. Our investigation has revealed that these attacks on our people and these phony charges were all colonial set ups! We will give all the details after we've gathered up all evidence.
The Concert held at Chiefswood Park on June 16th in support of the Kanenhstaton Land Reclamation was an overwhelming success. Big Nya Wehs to David and Kimberley Maracle, Tuesday Johnson of TAP Resources and all the other volunteers who worked so hard to make this happen. Nya Weh to all of the artists who donated your time and shared your music, artwork and other talents. This concert was a great experience. We can't thank you enough!!!!!!!!! We haven't got a total on how much the concert raised for Kanenhstaton. As soon as we do, we will let everyone know. I even got to sing with my sister ElizaBeth. We didn't clear out the park so we must have done good! We all had FUN and an awesome experience. David and Kimberley have already been approached to have another one. We can't wait! Good Work Everyone!
At Kanenhstaton, we are continuing our cultural examination of possible burial grounds on the site. A well-known archaeologist and friend, Professor Bill Noble and his wife Jacquie, paid us a visit. The sad news is that Henco's [the construction company which tried to build illegally on our land] archaeological study possibly destroyed crucial evidence on the existence of villages and other points of interest to our people. However, they did provide us with an 8 page report which we immediately sent to Ontario Premier McGuinty. It outlines several laws which they broke during this archaeological study. We have asked that it be forwarded to the appropriate ministries to be dealt with according to their laws. Henco is ultimately responsible and accountable for those inconsistencies before any money is paid to him [and for reparation of their total destruction of the environment at the site. It looks like someone dropped a bomb on it]. This should have been monitored but was conveniently ignored.

I am sure you are now ALL aware of the unrest going on in the Six Nations Territory, and what they are trying to accomplish in Caledonia. I, David R. Maracle from the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, am a First Nations Artist and Musician, and want to show support. I am calling all my fellow Aboriginal musicians, entertainers and artists to band together to show OUR support, and give back to OUR communities, and do a Benefit concert up in Six Nations, at the Site of Reclamation.
I am trying to establish interest in this initial contact...We have had an overwhelming response already, but are still looking for performers..... This is a free concert, no one is being paid to perform, and if you can afford to be there to support this, it would be greatly appreciated by our future generations to come. Everyone will come on their own dime, but we have been assured that their will be plenty of food and camping space available. We as Aboriginal Artists, have clout and will have the EYE of the Media and the Eyes of the World upon us. We can make a difference right now. Please email me back, as I have spoken to SEVERAL of the organizers of the barricade in Six Nations, who feels that this would be very worthwhile. Its time to take a stand and bring all the Aboriginal Peoples together to show the world, that we are all NOT "Sitting around waiting for a monthly cheque " as one of the government officials said in the news broadcast.

Mohawks and Others Block Trains in Ontario to Protest Land Use

Native Canadian protests spread across southern Ontario on Friday over a
land dispute dating back to the Revolution, with Mohawks stopping at
least
a dozen freight trains and interrupting passenger train service between
Montreal and Toronto.
There were no reported arrests or injuries.
CN Rail won a court injunction ordering the removal of demonstrators
should protests continue. Via Rail, the national passenger line,
announced
it could no longer take weekend reservations on trains linking Toronto
with Ottawa and Montreal, the nation's busiest routes, and was obliged
to
charter buses to honor existing reservations.
The demonstrations began at the end of February, when Mohawks of the Six
Nations, a confederacy of Native groups, occupied a road outside
Caledonia, an Ontario farming town, contending that a developer was
building a housing project on Native land nearby.
The protests received little attention until the Ontario provincial
police
raided the group and arrested 16 people before dawn on Thursday. A
scuffle
left three officers injured, including one who was hit on the head by a
bag of rocks and needed stitches. A few protesters said they had been
hurt
by police Taser guns.
The police action seemed only to feed the protests, as about 200 people
returned to the site to build makeshift barricades, heap piles of gravel
and burn tires and an abandoned van on the road.
Native protesters wearing camouflage pants and bandanas manned the
barricades on the same road through Friday, but the police said they had
no immediate plans to remove them again.
"We obviously prefer to have peaceful resolutions," said Prime Minister
Stephen Harper. "But we gather there has been some attempt at that, and
the situation is quite complex on the ground."
Leaders from the Six Nations reserve are meeting with officials from the
federal and provincial governments to try to settle the matter.
The dispute, involving a 100-acre plot, has its roots in a 1784
agreement
in which Britain granted a large strip of land in what is today
southwestern Ontario to Natives in gratitude for their support against
the
American colonial rebels. The Six Nations surrendered the land in 1841,
but Native activists filed a lawsuit in 1995 claiming that the agreement
was made under duress, and that in any case the authorities had failed
to
meet their commitments.
Cynthia Wesley-Esquimaux, a professor of aboriginal studies at the
University of Toronto, said the Caledonia land dispute "could become a
symbol of the broader dissatisfaction with how the government has dealt
with land claims."
On Friday, Mohawks from the Tyendinaga reserve, near Belleville, set
fires
beside a CN Rail track and used two school buses to block traffic on a
nearby road.
Natives of the Akwesasne reserve, near Cornwall, picketed a road near a
busy American border crossing, and a group of Mohawks blocked the
Mercier
bridge near Montreal for nearly half an hour, interrupting commuter
traffic.

At 5:55 am this morning, Thursday, April 20th, over 150 heavily armed Ontario Provincial Police with Native mercenaries as body shields, invaded Six Nations land. Some carrying M-16's, in riot gear. 6th line is still open. The Rotinoshon'no are not fighting. Tear gas has been thrownat them. Some were pepper sprayed. The traitors are the same kind of people who stabbed Crazy Horse, Geronimo, and those who fought for our sovereignty and our lives.
One bridge to the property has been closed.
Witnesses required. This will not be on the national news. Go there and see what is going on. This is a scary precedent. Take pictures. Make reports. Let the world know. report. REPORT. REPORT. Help the people so no one gets hurt. we never wanted violence. Canada has opened to the door to covert stAte violence on a scale that is unprecedent in Canada. This si the end of any pretense of negotiation with Indigenous people. Canada came in with armaments, guns, paddy wagons (we dont know what's in there).
Don't let Canada become another Chile. Tell the world.

12:55 "KAHEHTI:IO", one of the young men jailed by the OPP yesterday morning for being on the Six Nation Nations land, remains in jail. Following the precedent set by the United States at Guantanamo Bay, Kahehti:io is being kept in jail for refusing to give any other name except the one he has. It means "he plants a good garden". They are asking him for a colonial name does not have. He refuses to be fingerprinted and photographed. He is a young skinny kid who was beaten up by 4 OPP officers. He asked for me, Kahentinetha, to come and take him into my care. I would have to assure them he will be a good boy, without mentioning that I think he has been a wonderful boy so far!
AKWESASNE ROTISKENRAKETE, the men of the longhouse are handing out information on the International Bridge between New York State and Cornwall. They have a duty to protect the land which is held by the Women Title Holders. The decision of the people was for these men to express our outrage at what is happening to our brothers and sisters at Six Nations.
COLONIAL WAR RE-ENACTORS - CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ARE STILL PLAYING "COWBOYS AND INJUN GAMES".
They're behaving like little kids marching around the kitchen banging on pots and pans. You know how Canada re-enacts old wars, like the Plains of Abraham, Louisburg and other monuments of the colonial past. The fife and drum set clowns around with old flintlock guns just for fun. You can get you photo taken on that guillotine thing. They sure took this seriously, didn't they? They're still playing their baby games, but they've got serious artillery in their hands.
12:10 PM There are now between 2,500 and 3,000 OPP and RCMP in a perimeter around the people about 1 mile away. There is 50 sq. mi. squared off.

Most of the scouting is being done by the native women, doing groceries, laundry, happen to be driving around window shopping. At the nearby subdivision is the RCMP staging area where they have 20 vehicles parked. Personnel around throughout the area. The military staging area is at the John Munro International Airport in Hamilton Ontario, 12 miles from Caledonia. Unity Road is just north of Caledonia which is closed off. This is the staging area for the OPP. Ambulances and buses all around. Onsight surveillance indicates that the OPP have upgraded from "riot gear" to "tactical gar" which is bullet proof vests, keeping their weapons nearby. One of the concerns of the Indians is that negotiations with band council and the Confederacy chief will be used by Ontario and Canada as a diversionary tactic to distract the people, calm everybody down. As soon as we relax, they will attack. This is what they did last week.
WHAT'S THE MESSAGE? POLICE STATE OFFICIALLY IMPLEMENTED
The Canadian government wants to send us a message that if we ever again lift our heads and demand our rights, they and their goons are coming after us with overwhelming military force. They want to show us they are the conquerors and we are the conquered. They want to tell us we have no rights and, even though we are in the right, they are taking our land and resources away from us anyway. They have never had a public hearing to look at the evidence of the Six Nations. They tell us, "You can't do anything about it. Too too bad for you". With all their ambulances parked up front, it seems obvious they are out to make another Tianamen Square right in the middle of rural Ontario. They may even come in and bulldoze our houses and put non-native subdivisions on our lands. All Indian communities across Canada can be overwhelmed and bulldozed for developers from all over the world. They are being welcomed to come and take over stolen Indian land. The Canadian government institutions are protecting them. Do the Canadian people want this? I don't think so. We know about this old strategy. Soon, if we look at them the wrong way we might be eliminated one way or another. Canada is sanctioning this process. In the Six Nations case, neither Canada nor Ontario take responsibility. Is it the police's? All these public enquiries into police behaviour show is how police can hide the abuse and murders of Indians and how to cover up their crimes efficiently.

Need more people. The Coalition in Support of Indigenous Sovereignty stated that the presence of 1000 OPP was confirmed by CHCH TV news this morning. RCMP are using the Hamilton Airport as a staging ground.
Behind Canadian Tires on Kinross St. Caledonia, there were 18 - 11 passenger vans, great big ones. They are full OPP officers. One seen with gun on passenger side. There were some standing behind the vans. Couldn't tell what they were doing.

Not surprisingly though, the only coverage of the event shows images of haudenasaunee flags and tires burning, nothing about police violence. This media manipulation is sickening".

Thanks to our Canadian supporters who do NOT want to live under a military dictatorship. Yesterday Prime Minister Stephen Harper visited the former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney in Montreal. Mulroney was the Prime Minister during the Mohawk Oka Crisis of 1990. One day after his visit with US President George Bush, he came back to Canada and ordered the army to attack us for defending our ancestral ceremonial site and burial grounds. We were under siege for 78 days. It's really sad to see that Canadian leaders have learned nothing. If Prime Minister Harper is using the Mulroney blueprint, he's headed for disaster. Look at the botch up that guy made in 1990. If he's listening to George Bush, we're all in trouble.
We need negotiation, consent and peaceful coexistence. The Six Nations grievances are deeply rooted, complex and well documented, going back centuries.

Subject: SIX NATIONS ATTACK AVERTED - IT WAS A FALSE ALARM!
6:00. GOOD NEWS! THE OPP AND RCMP SAID "IT'S A FALSE ALARM". It was
really a normal sadistic police tactic to perfect their psychological
strategies to break down the Indians. They want to watch and report on
all our movements - who's on the phone to who, who's staying and who's
leaving. In other words, they're testing the waters. So now they know
us, they think. It was a test all along. A dry run to see what
everyone was going to do. They found out that no one was going to leave
the site of the protest, and more came. We can expect them to continue
to toy with us in this kind of way. the very fact that they would set
us up for a false alarm like this shows that they are functioning in
good faith. They are not respecting the fiduciary obligations that the
Crown has assumed over the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island.
We were all going to stay and face them for round 2 or 3 or however many
rounds they will come at us. if they are sincere about peaceful
negotiations, they will show their good faith by burying their weapons
underground where they can be washed away in the underground rivers
never to trouble relations between them and us and the generations to
come.
When we were in the Treatment Center during the 1990 Mohawk Oka Crisis,
we got these false alarms so many times that we got better and better at
it. We still laugh about it. All the kids learned how to put wet
cloths on their faces to stop the tear gas that we knew was going to be
thrown at us. Do's and don't's. Do have a good legal defender. At the
end of the day, they won't hesitate to use bayonets or whatever other
weapons they happen to have at hand. they will use them against unarmed
non-combatants and children. they will lay criminal charges for getting
in their way. they will not allow a neutral court to consider the
legality of their claim to own our land or to have jurisdiction over us.
They will throw heavy criminal charges at you with long term
incarceration, that's if you get a Nazi judge. Don't hold a stick in
front of yourself without a mask or you'll be charged with rioting,
disguisement and unlawful confinement. Be ready for such conditions as
banishment, being separated from your spouse, your children, your family
and friends. So be prepared. Tell everyone what happened to us and
that it will happen again and again. prepare your kids and
grandchildren beause they will probably have to fight the same fight
over and over again. We are standing our ground. Don't forget,
everyone has a right to self-determination under international and under
the natural law of the Kaianereh'ko:wa. We are not giving up. We still
need your help |
