Hello all,
Wavy sends this haiku in honor of his dear friend:
Red Crow passed over
He’s dancing with Great Spirit
Wolves of winter weep |
It is with sadness in my heart that to let folks know that Floyd Red Crow Westerman has passed away in the early morning of Thursday, December 13, 2007. He passed in Los Angeles; he was 71.
For those who don’t know, Floyd Red Crow Westerman was a member of the Sisseton-Wapheton Sioux Tribe of South Dakota. He was a musician and activist whose first album, "Custer Died for Your Sins," symbolized the burgeoning American Indian Movement of the 1960s and 1970s.
